DB2 Systems Programmer
On behalf of one of our top tier clients, TEKsystems is looking for an experienced DB2 Systems Programmer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and monitoring of the mainframe computing systems software environments to ensure compliance with IT service requirements.
This resource will have extensive experience planning, integrating, implementing and backup/restoring mainframe DB2 on Z/OS sub-systems to achieve optimum performance, reliability and availability.
Must Haves;
Extensive knowledge of DB2 for Z/OS
QMF, mainframe DB2 tools and utilities within complex enterprise infrastructures
Specialist knowledge of Z/OS (operating system, JES2, TSO, ISPF) software and management principles
Demonstrated ability to support an IBM mainframe hardware infrastructure including a z9 processor, tape systems and enterprise disk storage.
Demonstrated ability to install, maintain and support current versions of Z/OS software
Working knowledge of RACF and DB2 security issues and configurations.
Strong team player, excellent coordination, organizational and communication skills
